Soldier jailed after rape victim left samples of DNA in her attacker's car

A rape victim teen courageous and quick thinking helped police catch a serial sex attacker for spitting on his car and leaving a tuft of hair hidden in the vehicle.

A jury of Bristol Crown Court said Haynes, who was based at a barracks near Chippenham, Wiltshire, meticulously planned his attack.

The first abduction and rape that took place in September 2009 in Chippenham as the victim of 16, made his way home one night.

only 13 days later, raped a 18, after breaking into their homes in Pontypridd, Wales.

following February, he tried to pull the two school girls late at night on a rural road near Chippenham.

Speaking outside the court when Haynes was sentenced last month, he said. "I thought that there will be an investigation and wanted to help

"When I was in the car that led some of my hair and made it spit on the seat, so if there was ever found evidence that had been in the car.


"I am disgusted by it. For a man to have such thoughts, to do something to someone ... it's horrible.
