Britain's young classical musicians deserve to be trumpeted

Michael Gove made any announcements on youth initiatives where schools participated in the festival, but the talent of the show is obvious what will happen

Okay, so if you go to the Land of Hope and Glory is the only way to work stomachable: an audience of schoolchildren and their teachers and about 1,000 artists set the tone Elgar huge welly enthusiastic support of experts with Wessex Youth Orchestra. Every night of the Youth Music School Proms ends with Elgar's tone, and I must admit it was impossible to resist the energy and excitement at the Royal Albert Hall during the last three hours of the most inspiring to make music I've heard this year. I say no, who joined the same choir - that remains a bridge too far for my delicate sensibility Scottish - but there was education secretary Michael Gove in the box next to me saying the words, but not in the patriotic tone standing ovation.

Gove was there to offer two music teachers of the Year awards - and give absolutely nothing on the national music, which could be announced the same day he made his visit to the dance schools, but for those who have to wait ... well, who knows? A few days? A week? Gove was booed by the audience - or at least teachers - as he spoke, and Classic FM presenter Margaret Taylor tried to help with a little "We're in this together, there will be good news soon "style rhetoric.

talk: Marcus Marshall has left his role as head of music at the Southbank Centre to become "special adviser to the project" a collaboration system for the center, and run the baroque orchestra in Venezuela . Special projects with the adviser bit, apparently, the organization of a "research program designed to increase their long-term cooperation" between the Southbank Centre and the Centre for Social Action System for music in Caracas. And suggest the system and sets could have obtained a foothold on the Southbank. But why not a research or cooperation with a youth orchestras from Britain, sets and education professionals (not just the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, because they are wonderful)? What about the celebration of "social action through music", programs that have taken place for decades in Britain
