QPR striker Heidar Helguson signs new contract running until 2013

veteran Queens Park Rangers' striker Heidar Helguson has signed a contract extended to Loftus Road. The 34-year-old was one of the most impressive players of the club since his return to the top division, scoring six goals in 12 Premier League games.

Future

Helguson in the west London club had looked in doubt in the summer, but the new contract runs until 2013.

QPR, Neil Warnock said he was pleased to secure the striker with a longer lease, but also plans to add new attacking options on the winter market.
