Christmas Eve, Ben Breedlove, a bright, 18, died of complications of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), an abnormal thickening of heart walls. He had already made his life expectancy to the hereditary condition.
And although his story is heartbreaking, Breedlove has left a legacy of love and hope shines brighter than the tragedy of his death: a video of Austin, Texas teenager was left behind viral YouTube, playing thousands of people who had never seen, and keep a famous rapper tears.
For over a year, Breedlove has developed a devoted following on YouTube. Charming and witty, Breedlove offered to children around the tips of everyone from school.
But the video he made just before Christmas was of a more intimate and personal. He shared the details of life and are often faced with a disease that is supposed to have taken his life years before. It does this without saying a word, his message written in a series of tabs, as an instrumental version of Mad World Gary Jules has played in the background.
The video, filmed in two parts, was not found until shortly after he died on Christmas Day, playing in the yard with his brother.
His mother, Deanne Breedlove told the Austin American-Statesman that the video that brings an element of joy in the midst of sadness.
