Rob

Appelby, an art teacher, Herne Bay High School, Kent

not necessarily mean that teachers know less about IT - do not know how to teach. The program still seems to lag behind. My students do not want to learn Excel spreadsheets or

PowerPoint presentations - want something more eclectic really takes advantage of their individual interests

Karen Davies, director of learning resources, the Science Museum

children are very capable of consumers, but not necessarily how the technology. It's that feeling of being like computers a mystery black box. This is a fairly passive technology to watch, so it's where I want to see teachers in the schools being much more proactive, teaching children skills like computer programming.
