Video CATURDAY morning shows a hamster and a lot of sunflower seeds and carrots - what will happen
Those of you (all three of you) who follow this blog know that Saturday is
CATURDAY
, and the mornings are reserved for video CATURDAY stupid animals (mainly cats videos), with the hope that these videos will give you a smile and help humans adjust our attitudes busy, so we are able to spend time with our families and friends.
videothis morning is not a video chat, but it's fun, animal shows a Syrian (golden) hamster
Mesocricetus auratus
, called the smoke filling their cheek pouches full of food. It's really fun to see how you can put in:
Like most children, who finally managed to get a pet golden hamster (after asking too much) - a guy sweet name of Caesar. He and I made a series of experiments, some of which focus on food, particularly for recording (1) the amount of sunflower seeds (2) cores that could fit in their bags or ( 3) the number of elements that could enter in their bags when offered a mixture of both. It also measures how quickly things could these elements. (I concluded that a hamster can do as many articles as they are offered a mix, but I now I can not remember the accuracy. I do not remember the speed with which Caesar could get his bags, alas!) And yes, I had a laptop with this scientific data stored in them, too.
Litter original golden hamsters were bred in Jerusalem as laboratory animals. Be escape artists who are, some escaped and established cleaning and therefore held in Israel, where there may be a wild population that is until today.
Other descendants "mitochondrial Eve" were sent to the Office of Scientific Research Welcome to the UK in 1931. They grow well and two more pairs were delivered to the Zoological Society of London in 1932, and finally got a few private breeders in 1937. Golden hamsters - at least those in North America - are all descendants of this woman "mitochondrial Eve", as recent studies of mitochondrial DNA has been established that all domestic hamsters are descendants of a gold woman - probably captured in 1930 in Syria.
