Julia Child's centennial: celebrating America's beloved no-frills chef

would have been the 100th birthday of Julia Child on Tuesday, an American icon that has two of the most well-liked in the United States, food and television together.

So, in recognition of his contribution to American culture, we celebrate one of the most endearing of the country.

culinary career began after he graduated from the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in France, and made its author the name of the book of the 752-page Mastering the art of French cuisine. This followed his stint as a spy with the level of security clearance level, of course.

Then she ingratiate himself with the American newspaper on his show The French Chef, which premiered in 1963 and aired for a decade in national television for education, the forerunner of public funding PBS.


She died of kidney failure in 2004, just days before his 92nd birthday, in his home state of California.
