Kinect Sesame Street TV for Xbox 360 will get kids moving

Soho studio productions Microsoft shows new images of interactive episodes MIPCube

Microsoft showed a new demo of Sesame Street Kinect TV, an innovative interactive television that will debut on Xbox 360 later this year.

Josh Atkins, senior designer at Microsoft Productions Soho studio, showed the demo at a conference in Cannes MIPCube hearing, and explained how the company hopes to get children involved and not just looking from of their couches.

Both demos involved Sesame Street characters Cookie Monster and Count to speak with the children of your television screen, and then the reaction of your movements detected by the Kinect camera.

Here's the new demo. It shows the number of telling two children to stand still while it has in 11 - the number that day. When one is unable to resist move, react accordingly. Atkins offers an explanation:


Microsoft has not said how the episodes will be delivered to children and their parents, or how much it will cost.
